A journey packed with trust and opportunities

Head of Customer Service, Tabita Walhøj, elaborates on some of the benefits of working at BNP Paribas Personal Finance.

10 years ago our colleague and Head of Customer Service, Aftersales & Granting, Tabita Walhøj, joined our company and it calls for celebration!
Below Tabita elaborates on some of the benefits of working at BNP Paribas Personal Finance.

A journey packed with trust and opportunities
Tabita Walhøj started working in our company as a Collection Manager for Denmark. As our business expanded to the Norwegian market, so did Tabita’s area of responsibility, and she became in charge of creating a Norwegian collection department. Eventually our organisation became fully Scandinavian, and collection in Sweden was added to her remit.

Following a period of gradually increased responsibility, it was time for a career change: Tabita replaced collection with applications, as she became Head of Customer Service for Denmark and Norway covering front-office, granting, back office and after sales.

“It is a great place to work. It is my experience – despite of changing managers over the years – that I have been shown confidence. I have been allowed to manage my responsibility areas rather freely, to implement new initiatives and build up organisations and new practices.
When I joined the company I became part of a local Danish organisation of limited size, which eventually grew to be a Nordic player and part of the BNP Paribas Personal Finance Group. Correspondingly my own opportunities grew, and I appreciate that.”

Low employee turnover as a key success factor

Operations represent a large part of our total staff, and therefore Tabita is people manager for many of our colleagues and people managers.

“Just as trust has been shown to me, it has been a source of satisfaction to witness my own employees grow, develop and grab new opportunities. It makes me proud and happy. And I am happy that I have been given room to create and nurture a working culture and environment in which development goes hand in hand with stability. To me personally, it has been a key success factor over the years, to keep employee turnover as low as possible. It is a great achievement, particularly in an area as Operations, where high employee turnover is not unusual. “
